Why we refuse to guess at numbers
For over a decade, ecommerce software has relied on unreliable scrapers and black box guessing to fill in the numbers it can't actually see. That gives sellers clean looking revenue figures that turn out to be wrong, and wrong numbers lead directly to unsold inventory sitting in a warehouse and wasted money.
We built SellerSalt on the opposite principle: real evidence beats a good guess. When we observe a number directly, through an official marketplace connection or a public listing page, we show it and tell you exactly where it came from. When we genuinely can't verify a number, we label it Unavailable instead of making one up.
SellerSalt started under the name "Anadash" before we expanded it to support multiple marketplaces. Aliyan Baig currently runs it as an individual, doing business as SellerSalt.
We Never Make Up a Number
We label every single data point we show you as one of four things: Observed (we saw it directly), Derived (we calculated it from real numbers), Estimated (a clearly labeled estimate), or Unavailable. We never quietly fill in a competitor's private revenue with a synthetic guess, anywhere in the product.
